When we first moved from our old location nextdoor we had so many “wants” and dreams, many of them became a reality! One of my hopes and plans for the new space was to add a spiral staircase to the common area lounge. This was mostly for aesthetics but now that we are building a second level it will actually be
able to go somewhere! The stairs have been locked in a garage outside for 4 months because they would not fit through our back door, but in December we added a Bay door in Studio 4 and we finally had our chance to install them!

Granted it was the night before our HUGE 1 year anniversary party for the studio, and we didn’t have the manpower, tools or time.
First Larry, Nader and I tried to lift them, but without a footing and more muscle it just slipped away from us. Next we got 3 more people and winches, bolts and safety cables.
This was much safer (on our backs and not getting killed) but a very slow 8-10 “click” process to get it upright. Finally we got close and then it was upright. Lastly we needed to blot it down and tie in the top so it was “safer”
All in all it was up and looked great for the Holiday party and no one got dead!
